We’re thrilled to announce that Rick Dandan, a seasoned building code expert and the founder of Lakeside Consultants, is joining the CodeComply Summit team! With over 15 years of experience in building code services and 12 active certifications, Rick is an invaluable addition, bringing a wealth of expertise to our summit on creating safer, more efficient communities.
Rick has made significant strides in the field of building safety, notably through Lakeside Consultants, where he serves as the General Manager. His visionary approach involves a community-based cooperative model that redefines how building safety services are delivered. This unique model combines in-depth technical knowledge with a commitment to customer service, making essential building safety processes more transparent and accessible.
Rick’s experience is broad and encompasses essential areas such as:

Rick, a technical expert, is actively involved in community service and professional mentorship, serving as an associate board member for DuPage Habitat for Humanity and Treasurer for Women Optimizing Women.

Through their Tattered Flag Initiative, Lajeside returns up to 25% of their fees to support community initiatives, non-profit organizations, and industry support services. Rick has been at the forefront of many of our associations and supporting organizations throughout the United States and always brings the coolest ideas to conferences, and we are delighted to have him join the Attendee Experience Committee.
