José brings over 30 years of invaluable experience from both the public and private sectors, making him an ideal addition to our team. Currently serving as the Director of Development Services for the City of Austin, Texas, José stands at the forefront of development initiatives in one of America's fastest-growing cities.

His impressive career includes:

16 years of dedicated service to the City of Austin 14 years in the private sector, including work at the Kennedy Space Center Leadership roles such as Director of the Austin Code Department and City Building Official Active involvement in national code development as a Governmental Member of the International Code Council (ICC) Chair of the Steering Committee for the ICC's Major Jurisdiction Committee

José's commitment to excellence is evident in his numerous certifications, including:

• ICC Certified Building Official Commercial and Residential Building Inspector 
• Commercial and Residential Energy Inspector 
• Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector Licensed Texas Code Enforcement Officer

With a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and a Master's in Management and Leadership, José brings a unique blend of technical expertise and strategic vision to our summit.
